Vascular Stress Testing
Vascular Disease is a major risk factor for heart attack and stroke, but by the time people most people show symptoms, they are in serious danger. Vascular testing is used to evaluate vascular condition before a person shows symptoms.
Ultrasound and Doppler technologies are used to look for three things – blockages in the carotid artery, abdominal aortic aneurysms and blockages in the peripheral arteries in the leg. Looking at the arteries this way helps doctors see what patients often times don’t even feel happening inside their bodies.
