Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring provides a comprehensive assessment of a patient’s blood pressure profile with BP variability, overnight dipping and morning surge that in-clinic and home BP monitoring cannot provide.
This monitoring lets your doctor find out what your blood pressure was every 30 minutes of a typical day. The monitoring is indicated to establish a diagnosis of White-Coat Hypertension, ie. elevated blood pressures in the office, but normal blood pressures at home. This condition may not require treatment.
